The Florian Ensemble are joined by clarinettist Jessie Grimes for Olivier Messiaen’s seminal Quartet for the End of Time.
Written and premiered in a prisoner of war camp in 1941, the music is a meditation on eternity and is always a powerful live experience.
We are thrilled to be teaming up with Art for Life for this event, bringing local artists’ responses to Messiaen’s music to a small exhibition and drinks reception before the performance. The music will begin shortly before twilight and will end after the sun has set.
